How to make a gift of cash

 

Online gifts of cash   

Just click here and complete our online donation form. Your gift will be processed quickly and safely using our secure server.

 

Mailing a gift of cash 

You can send us a check or money order. Please let us know if you want your gift used for a specific purpose by indicating that purpose either in the memo line or in a letter to us. 

Please include your name, address, phone number, email address.

- If the gift is in honor or memory of someone, give the name and address of the person(s) to be informed.

- United Way of Wayne County publicly recognizes donors. Please indicate if you prefer to be anonymous.

- Mail to: United Way of Wayne County PO Box 10893  Goldsboro, NC 27532.

- If your employer has a Matching Gift Program, please send their form with your check.

United Way of Wayne County is a non-profit organization registered in North Carolina and exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. United Way of Wayne County will provide an IRS acknowledgment letter to all donors.

 

More on gifts of cash

Did you know that you can mail a check on December 31st and, even if the check is not received and cashed by United Way until after the new year, the IRS will allow you to take a deduction in the year the check was mailed? Keep this in mind for year-end tax planning!
