What is it?
A learning loss initiative led by First Church and WCPS. Goal: Try to bring K-8 students up to where they should be academically before the new school year

When does the program run?
June 15th-August 5th (Volunteers June 14)
What is the schedule?
Children can come between 10-12 or 12--2pm Monday-Thursday. They can do 1 day or every day. Lunch provided.
Is lunch provided for students?
Yes, lunch will be served around noon each day.
My student is a Summer Scholar/going to summer school can they attend after?
Is transportation provided from Summer Scholar/Summer School with WCPS to a community tutoring site?
Yes. Parents should let the summer scholar program know where they would like their child to be dropped off.

What are the requirements to volunteer?
Volunteers must complete an application and pass a background check.
When is the volunteer training?
Training for tutors is at First Church:
K-2 June 1st 3:00-5:00 (live) or 6:00-8:30 (recorded)
3-5 June 2nd 3:00-5:00 (live) or 6:00-8:30 (recorded)
5-8 June 3rd 3:00-5:00 (live) or 6:00-8:30 (recorded)
OR recorded training make up day June 5th K-2 9-11:30, 2-4 11:30-1:00, 1:00-3:30
