What is a Community Investment Panel?
Our Community Investment Panels evaluate our grant applications to help determine which programs the United Way of Wayne County should invest in. Panel members review applications, conduct site visits to ensure programs are being carried out described, and meeting identified goals.
What skills are needed for a panel member?
Strong critical thinking and reading comprehension skills a willingness to speak up and let your voice and opinion be heard ability to build a positive rapport or relationship with agency contacts
How much time does this involve?
Panel members attend an orientation, 4-6 meetings and (on average) 3 site visits
