Who We Impact

Simply put, everyone. We fight alongside hardworking families who are struggling to build secure, sustainable lives for themselves in a world of constantly rising costs and rarely rising wages. We stand beside those recovering from a natural disaster or house fire. When we focus on what is happening today in Wayne County, we are poised and ready to help tomorrow when the need arises.

The United for Ukraine Fund will address both the immediate needs like transportation, accommodation, food, medicine, childcare supplies like infant formula and diapers, and hygiene kits, as well as longer-term needs of those fleeing the conflict.

United Way partners are vetted, nonpartisan organizations that are on the ground and providing vital help and hope to those who need it most. Current partners include United Way Romania, United Way Hungary, and Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw (Good Initiatives Foundation) in Poland, but additional partners will be identified as the needs shift and become more clear.

95% of your donation will go directly to our organizations on the ground who provide relief to those impacted by this growing humanitarian crisis.
